I chose to redesign the packaging for Parrot Brand Aloe Vera Pomegranate Drink, distributed by Sun Hing Foods. I decided on this brand after picking up a bottle at my local bodega grocer, it intrigued me because the pink color of the drink reminded me of the Starbucks menu’s “Pink Drink” that is trendy over social media. It also seemed to have a long shelf life at the bodega, and was only $2 compared to the Starbucks $6 drink. The original packaging was cluttered and almost identical to all the other Aloe Vera drink products on the market, so I wanted to free up a lot of white space that would fully highlight the color and texture of the Aloe Vera Pomegranate drink. This way the bottle will look more appealing and brand distinctive for social media sharing like the Starbucks’ “Pink Drink.” Once I had decided on the packaging layout, I changed my focus to expanding the Parrot Aloe Vera Pomegranate products. In Zoom breakout rooms classmates helped me brainstorm other Aloe Vera products, the most common for my classmates being Hand Sanitizer and Aloe Vera Cooling Gel. This expansion of Aloe Vera products for Parrot, I thought would make a great combination for a beach day so I decided to place my products on a beach towel with a tropical background to highlight this. That way consumers will know that all the Parrot products are needed for a day out in the sun.
