Suita video-fotografii-obiect-text formează un cerc închis prin care intenționam să reduc procesul developării unei piese vestimentare la stadii cheie. Totodată, pe parcurs a devenit o reflecție asupra societății consumeriste și a felului în care relaționăm cu ceea ce consumăm, respectiv ceea ce purtăm. Folosesc arta drept unealtă non-formală  prin care vreau să arăt publicului o altă perspectivă asupra lucrurilor de zi cu zi.

O frântură din proces este consemnată într-un video scurt, de postat pe Instagram. Același video surprinde un moment taciturn, repetitiv, cu ticăit de ceas pe fundal. Un rând. 3 minute. Același proces este repetat din nou și din nou, în loop. Apoi piesa finală devine o reflecție asupra prezentului dat pe repede-înainte.

Conceput din resturi de fire de lână sintetice găsite întâmplător, am pornit de la obiectul în sine, la partea de imortalizare a procesului prin video și apoi la conceptul acestui act cameleonic, care face saltul de la fast-fashion la slow-fashion și de la sustenabil la anti-fashion. Am încercat să surprind o mică parte din ceea ce înseamnă execuția unei piese, într-un mod cât mai rudimentar și fără mașini. E vorba despre o apropiere între cine suntem și ceea ce purtăm, și cum apreciem/ gestionăm resursele pe care le avem. Lucrarea de față a devenit, astfel, un manifest despre un mod mai conștient și deschis prin care găsim o utilitate resturilor de materie primă. 

O sursă primă de inspirație și ideea de la care pornesc în mod implicit când încep un proiect este refolosirea materialelor rămase și a resturilor în diferite contexte, atât practice cât și de concept. Practica mea se bazează pe deconstrucția realității și pe negarea esteticii și a frumosului, supraestimate în ideea de fashion. Această deconstrucție marchează o altă abordare de a privi consumerismul și tot ce însumează acesta: de la ce înseamnă „învechit” la ce înseamnă „nou”, ce e „urât” versus ce e „frumos” și până la ce e sau nu e „decent”.

The video-photos-object-text suite forms a closed circle through which I intend to reduce the process of developing a garment to key stages. At the same time, along the way, it became a reflection on the consumerist society and the way we relate to what we consume, and also what we wear. I use art as a non-formal tool through which I want to show the public a different perspective on everyday things.

A snippet of the process is recorded in a short video meant to be posted on Instagram. The same video captures a taciturn, repetitive moment, with a ticking clock in the background. A row. 3 minutes. The same process is repeated again and again in a loop. Then the final piece becomes a reflection on the fast-forward present.

Conceived from left-over pieces of synthetic wool yarns found by chance, I started from the object itself, to the immortalization part of the process through video and then to the concept of this chameleon act, which makes the step from fast-fashion to slow-fashion and from sustainable to anti-fashion. I tried to capture a small part of what it means to make a piece of garment, in a way that is as rudimentary as possible and without machines. It is about a closeness between who we are and what we wear, and how we appreciate / manage the resources we have. This work of art has thus become a manifesto about a more conscious and open way in which we find a use for raw material scraps.

A primary source of inspiration and the idea from which I start implicitly when beginning a project is the reuse of remaining materials and scraps in different contexts, both practical and conceptual. My practice is based on the deconstruction of reality and on the denial of aesthetics and beauty, overestimated in the idea of ​​fashion. This deconstruction marks another approach on looking at consumerism and all that it sums up: from what means "old" to what means "new", what is "ugly" versus what is "beautiful" and to what is or what's not "decent".
