The TEACH brochure is conceptualised and designed in accordance with the Ministry of Education (Singapore) to promote teaching as a profession to the public. It is a 8-page foldable brochure that shares valuable information to individuals about teaching as a profession.
Previously, the Ministry uses an exercise book to present all of these information and they were seeking an alternative way to better get the message across to the general public about taking up teaching as a profession. Hence, taking inspiration from the MOE Kindergarten 8-page foldable brochure, I proposed to the team that we can adopt a similar approach. Hence, we needed to edit the existing contents to be presented and ensure that they were concise, without missing out any important information.
Subsequently, I went on to conceptualise the design of the brochure. Being a teacher, the biggest takeaway would be to nurture and inspire the lives of the generations to come. Hence, I came up with a light bulb design, with the word 'inspire' using the filament of the light bulb. Following which, I thought back upon which quotes can be inspirational and are related to teaching, which was the reason behind proposing 2 generic quotes within the brochure, alongside the quotes from other teachers within the industry. The 4 pages of content are the important information that has been copyedited and condensed to fit within the brochure. Last but not least, the back page of the brochure ends off with the Ministry's tagline and the background image is linked to the front page of the brochure to ensure that when the brochure is opened up, the front and back ends of it will be coherent.
