I had the opportunity to design this bag while working as a senior designer on the Nike Bags design team.  This duffel was part of a larger collection of silhouettes that were sold as part of the NSW pinnacle offering.

In order to maximize material yield and minimize the amount of welding required, I chose to create the volume of the bag utilizing basic origami principles.  This allowed the user to carry the bag as 3 distinct silhouettes: portfolio, tote or duffel.

Materials:  PU coated and TPU backed 800d poly, bonded seams, coated zippers, hypalon and leather touchpoints.

After 8 years of continuous use, my sample has only gotten better with age.
