There’s so many reasons why I love doing pet portraits. I’ve been amazed to see these almost sacred bonds between human and pet. Bonds that will truly stand the test of time. I take a lot of pride in creating a piece that will be a small part of that bond. Occasionally I create something that doesn’t quite fulfill me and it’s something I can’t bring myself to give to my client so I do a redraw. Much like this rejected piece of Copper. At first my clients probably think I’m crazy for wanting to start over completely but then when they see the BETTER final results they understand and are thankful. I have loved working with all my clients!! This is a process for sure! There’s a thought of mine for you all on this most beautiful Monday.
