The inspiration for this project was blending different aspects of nature. I wanted to include   water, rock, plant life, human life, and space, which I accomplished by blending different images composed of said aspects.

I began by placing a black background as it would later act as outer space. Then I placed an image of the Grand Canyon and created player mask to get rid of the unnecessary background. To additionally create the appearance of space, I used an installed brush to add stars.

Next, I added an image of earth and added a layer mask to get rid of the unnecessary background. Then, I placed an image of surfers in the ocean and used a layer mask to make water "flow" within the canyon.

I then turned down the opacity to make the water blend into the canyon more realistically. I also adjusted the color of planet earth to match with the color scheme more.

For the finishing touches, I added flowers to represent the plant life aspect in the collage and adjusted the tones to blend into the color scheme more. Then I added another planet to fill in the empty space and adjusted the colors and brightness to match more. Finally, I adjusted the colors of earth more and added the grain filter so that the images would all have similar aesthetics.
