Seaside Narratives / Alappuzha
Although not often, while being asked whether I'm a beach or mountain person, my thoughts travel to the top of a mountain where valleys amidst lush green mountains are visible. But having said that, beaches are something that equally fascinates me - for its variety of colors, mood and ambiance.
Here is a collection of photographs from the beaches of a quaint little coastal town in Kerala - Alleppey. Looking at this handpicked set of photographs I shot over a period of 2 years i.e. 2019-2020, I often get reminded about the beauty that a seashore holds each day for us, in abundance.
The fact that the town of Alappuzha (known as Alleppey during its early times) was built mainly for the purpose of maritime trade in the later half of 18th century also brings in the importance as well as connection of this place to the sea.
