Nowadays, Air purifiers have become essential devices to people’s homes. This happened because they are facing air pollution around their living area. Pm 2.5 has become a major pollution problem in various cities both the South East Asia and Pacific region. This resulted in the creation of a new-necessary for normal people since there are the needs for clean air in their daily life.
“Robotic air purifier for multi room use” is the project that was focusing on air purifiers which mainly used in condominiums or apartments that have limited area and multi-purpose usage. Moreover, not only Thailand that facing this problem, but many major cities are also experiencing the same issue, so this would be a great opportunity for doing this project.
Problem: Air purifiers in the existing market were designed to be placed and located in power outlet areas which decrease the efficiency of the machine operation.
Insights: Normally people placed the apps in the area that they were doing activity. From this study, researcher has found that users always moved air purifiers to different areas in their room for certain activities such as sleeping, cooking, eating, and other livings.
This project will be a learning path to gain more knowledge and working experience as an industrial designer because there are numerous things to do, for example, research and testing which critical thinking is needed to analyze, and it is very important to contribute the ultimate result. This part has taken most of the project time to generate the strongest concept and idea development. Even though the outcome is fair enough, this research could be a fundamental knowledge to develop the further product.
