THE WINGED HOUSE ( 2007 )

In the summer of 2007 I got the chance to work for a few months in a local architectural office. One of the first projects I was offered to approach was a one family house in a nearby village. As is the case with most of the romanian clients the budget was scarce, ambitions were low, they just wanted to get things done quickly and get the building permit as soon as possible. I chose to play a bit on an organic note, choosing local, available materials and easy-to-build techniques. The result was this house & garden, nothing fancy yet my creative ego was satisfied as I got a go again on my favourite colour palette and materials, and the final result really pleased the client.
