Constructivism
Introdution
Constructivism was new way for artistes to make art. It became prevalent while Russia was ruled by the Bolsheviks. Constructivism had aspects from both Cubism and Futurism. It’s purpose was to start over with composition. Artworks were analysed to see it can be used in mass production. The artworks were made to be practical. The art was not meant to be beautiful but to protest  Like the Cubist very geometric components was used to make abstract art. The artists used basic colours such as red, black, white ens.Dis made the work cheaper but also left an impact.

Beat the whites with the red wedge by El Lizzitsky
This was a propaganda poster meant to symbolise the Bolsheviks (as the red triangle) defeating the white movement (represented by the white circle being penetrated by the red triangle ) during the Russian civil war. The artwork was described as pioneering.
Shepard fairey Providence industrial
This is an example of an Constructivist artworkThe artwork has a lot of geometrical design elements. It uses Basic and bold colours such as red and black. It uses geometric shapes but it is still abstract. It is functional the message is clear.
