This is personal project I did for myself exploring the theme of biodiversity.
No matter how highly we think of ourselves we are part of nature. All life is intertwined in a dynamic balance. Take one piece out - the system will adapt. Take many and it will crumble. Nature relies on diversity for survival.

Technically it was all done in AfterEffects with some minor modelling work in cinema4d. That was a new frontier for me with the node based particle system and volumetric lights right inside Ae made possible by a fantastic Stardust plug-in.
