We are Young- 8/07/20

we are young?” demonstrates the current response generated by the youth of society in response to the pandemic. The artwork tackles the issue of recklessness by using the expressive 1950s pop art. Pop art was a movement that quickly evolved due to its style appealing to most. It is known as a mass culture art form because it was based off comics and advertising which appealed to the masses and during the time.

“The words “We are young?”, can be interpreted in lots of different ways. I think the response to the person viewing it is what creates the art”
Sketchbook workings and other design ideas that I might add later towards this project. We are Young? Is this projects first outcome.
2nd wave?- 9/07/20

Voicing the concerns of the public during the time. Was we due a second wave? Are we still due a second wave? I realise creating artwork about the pandemic might seem a little morbid and perhaps something  we do not really need at the moment. However, in time we need artwork like this to learn and look back on what it was like back in the summer of 2020.

Each print was to theorise which colours work best and what could be good to use in further exploration. All these graphic designs will hopefully be used as backgrounds for a future larger outcome project. Stay tuned for more to come.
Some process screenshots from my photoshop adventures. Obviously you can’t use this as a guide, but it gives you an idea of what was involved when making the designs.
We are young? - repeat print, 22/07/20

This artwork conveys the same message as the previous work entitled we are Young? by me. The design is a repeated print, good for a background use on other projects. However, it is well presented enough to be a standalone outcome. Defiantly going to look at ways to incorporate this image into other projects in the near future.
