Rail Construction project in our town
Middlebury is a small town in the west of state of Vermont. Known to some as the home of Middlebury College. A long time planned reconstruction project to improve the rail line and the two bridges that cross the RR cut through town is now in full swing (July 2020).
The disruption to small town life, which follows on the heals of the Covid-19 shutdown, is epic in its proportions. My wife and I live overlooking this downtown scene from our 3rd floor apartment. All of these photos taken from sunset onward into the night, looking down from the apartment windows or walking around the town to capture the scale and sweep of such an effort, now progressing until Sept 21st on a 24 hr / 7 days a week schedule.
