Hello! I am Dianne MacGowan, and thank you for being here. Behold to view some excerpts from my creative explorations during February to April 2020. This period was paramount in further developing my dreamy visual language. I focused on experimenting colors and elements I am attracted to- so I could define certain images with my own personal meaning, as an artist. I collage symbols and portrayed what was going on in my mind. I am inspired by writing so there are days where I give myself little critical notes to look back on in the future. After a few months of exploring, I learned that my natural voice veers toward a surreal, dreamy, wispy style- this gave me a direction that paved my next sketchbook. Filling every page of this sketchbook was an exciting journey as I tried my best to squeeze out my imaginative side. Enjoy viewing x
