Ireland Intercity
Public Transport Map
As a student I rely completely on public transport and my bike to travel. I noticed that there was no joined up thinking in Irish public transport services.

Transport for Ireland has no map of public transport for services outside of the Dublin Metro region and local city bus services. Transport users have to discover what services exist in an area through their own research of trying to find what operators exist in each area. This can lead to longer journey times, indirect routes and generally makes public transport much less attractive.

Some individual operators have their own maps such as Bus Eireann, But when these maps show once a week services with the same weight as hourly services this distorts the reality and makes the map much less legible. Not to mention this shows no interchanges outside of their network.

Similarly Northern Irish public transport operator, Translink, does not show many Republic of Ireland operated services on their maps, despite some RoI operated services having higher frequencies and more direct connections for some Northern Irish towns.

I aimed to solve this issue with an all-Island transport map showing all frequent (every 3 hours or better) Intercity & Commuter public transport services in Ireland, regardless of whether they are North or South, private or public.
